The ‘link’ was designed to join the main house and the garage conversion. The purpose for this beautiful design was to create a peaceful space with views of the garden and surrounding landscape whilst increasing the footprint of the property. The build was made up of a steel portal frame, which was then wrapped in oak and fitted with aluminium panels, doors and a large 4m x 3.5m lantern. The existing garage was converted to form a new kitchen, living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. A new double garage was built for cars and storage. We were asked to landscape around the new extension. This included a 60m retaining wall to hold 170sqm of paving, new gravel driveway with granite sett edgings, brick pillars, brick wall with oak and a further 50 sqm of stepped curved paving.
